Study Abroad Deadlines

Many universities and programs admit students on a rolling basis, so it is to your advantage to apply as early as possible. Programs will want to see grades for as many completed semesters as possible, so you should be working on your application one year ahead of study abroad. For fall semester and academic year programs, you should apply in December, at the end of the fall semester of your sophomore year. Applications to Oxford and Cambridge are due in Mid-October of your sophomore year. For spring semester programs, you should apply in May, at the end of your sophomore year. Be sure to check program deadlines carefully - a few programs do not fit these general guidelines.

The latest that the college can accept applications is:

Feb. 1 for fall semester and academic year programs

Sept. 15 for spring semester programs.

Applications must be submitted to Dean Wasyliw in 55 Goldwin Simth before they will be forwarded to Cornell Abroad.

To be considered complete, your application must include the following:

• Cornell Abroad Student Application, signed by you faculty advisor
• Statement of Academic Purpose
• Proposed Course of Study, signed by your faculty advisor, for each program you are applying to
• Any other program applications or forms requiring a Study Abroad Advisor's signature
