| Anindita
Banerjee received her PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Her areas of interest are literature and film of Russia and South Asia,
with emphasis on science and technology; the production of space; and
construction of religious, ethnic, and national identities. She has published
essays on electricity, the Trans-Siberian Railroad, medieval and modernist
accounts of travel in South Asia, Soviet postmodern fiction, and Russian
and Indian visual media. Her book projects include a study of science
and technology in Russian culture at the turn of the twentieth century,
and an edited collection on spacelessness and subjectivity. |
