- Internationally renowned novelist Rushdie won over the Cornell audience on October 18th by reading from both fiction and memoir in Uris Auditorium.
- September 21st Sandra Cisneros reads to a standing room only crowd
- A tiny woman of 52 whose voice rings like that of an enthusiastic teenager, Cisneros visited Cornell as part of the Creative Writing Reading Series.
- August 29th The Department of English Welcomes New Faculty Members
- Kevin Attell is one of several new faculty members joining the English Department this fall. Assistant Professor Attell, a specialist in contemporary American literature, received his Ph.D. from Berkeley and is currently working on two books.
- August 6th Cornell’s Creative Writing Program Ranked Among the Nation’s Best
- In its summer 2007 fiction issue, The Atlantic magazine included Cornell in its list of the nation’s top 10 graduate writing programs. The magazine cited the quality of the program’s alumni and faculty, its selectivity and its resources.
