It supports the activities of technology transfer and economic development, research integrity and assurance, including care for research animals, and information services that support research administration.

Funding sources: Sponsored Program Services (SPS) offers online sources to assist faculty and research staff in identifying sources of funding.

Quick Links to Advisee Information

Due to the University/College structure of Cornell, information on your advisees is in two places.

For an advisee's university transcript, test scores, course enrollments, address and phone information, see Faculty Center (from the Office of the University Registrar).

For information on an advisee’s progress toward College requirements, course and credit totals by semester, incoming student information, and senior advisees’ applications to graduate, see Data.arts (a College of Arts and Sciences database).

Confidentiality of student information

Confidentiality of student records, Cornell policy

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

Special options, by class year

First-year students: The Carol Tatkon Center was designed to connect the academic heart of the university with the residential center of first-year student life on north campus. Located in Balch Hall, the Center has classroom space, seminar rooms, and a cafe.

Sophomores: The Knight Institute's Sophomore Seminar program offers an opportunity for sophomores to receive early mentoring experiences in their prospective majors through faculty-taught, writing-intensive courses, many of which feature a strongly interdisciplinary orientation and cross-departmental collaboration.

Graduation

Online application to graduate: The deadline for Part I was October 20th, and any seniors who did not submit a Part I will have to see DoraLee Woodin in 172 Goldwin Smith. We have left the Part II window open for your convenience in completing that section. Your advisees are responsible for getting in touch with you so that you and they can complete Part II.

Part I (College Requirements): Seniors fill this out on their own, but advisors, as well as Directors of Undergraduate Studies and recordspeople for the relevant major(s), have access to it.

Part II (Major Requirements): To enter this site, a major advisor (or DUS or recordsperson for the relevant department) must be logged in under his or her net i.d. Each graduating senior is responsible for making an appointment with each major advisor s/he has to fill out this portion of the application to graduate.
