Mildred April Memorial Award

A faculty selection committee annually bestows this award, created in memory of Mildred April, to an undergraduate major in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies who demonstrates a financial need.

Alice Hanson Cook Award

Alice Hanson Cook (1903-1998) devoted her life to helping working people, especially working women, on four continents. She was a pioneer in bringing attention to issues such as comparable worth, maternity leave, and pay equity. The Alice Hanson Cook Award supports comparative and/or international studies of gender and social change, and is open to Masters and Ph.D. students, as well as to junior scholars at Cornell within 6 years of a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. FGSS Dissertation Fellowship

The FGSS Dissertation Fellowship supports research for a Cornell University graduate student whose dissertation will focus on feminist, gender, or sexuality related issues. The Fellowship provides tuition, fees, health insurance, and a stipend for one semester. Application pdf
