Kathy Morrow is a senior, majoring in French Literature and Film Studies. She plans to join the Peace Corps in July teaching English in Africa or Asia. Shakespeare on the Comstock: The Gold Hill Theatre Troupe is a documentary about a group in Virginia City, Nevada, a boomtown from the mid-19th century silver rush. They perform everything from variety shows to historically themes dramas.  Formed in 2001 the group continues to grow with a roster of over 100 members.  Focusing on the group’s founder and four of the most active actor/directors, the film considers their motivations, challenges, and successes as a regional volunteer company. | back to top

Reed Van Dyk is a senior Theatre Arts major. He has directed one other film entitled Making the Cut. His theatre directing credits include: SLTCWonder of the World (Black Box #3), and Metamorphoses (Assistant Director). The Conservatory is a comedy offering a hilariously invasive look at the musical theatre conservatory audition process. It follows four lively high school seniors as they vie for eight positions at a conservatory in Delaware. We will watch these characters prepare, perform, and collide as they crusade to realize their ultimate dreams of Broadway stardom. The film stars Alex Herrald, Christine Bullen, Reed Van Dyk, Chuck Stransky,  Kirsten Kollender, and Jan Rogge.
