George Atkins '82

Software/hardware engineer and patent agent George Atkins,'82 took filmmaking classes at Cornell in the early 1980's. Living in Berkeley, California, he wrote and directed a feature film, "From Out of the Blue,"
in 1997.

Now that he's planning to add a law degree to his accomplishments, he has donated his film package -- including an Eclair sync sound camera, digital recorder, microphones, etc. -- to Cornell. George visited classes and delivered his gear to us in early October and students are already making good use of it -- thanks again, George!
