Undergraduate Concentration

requirements:
Requirements for the concentration include the core course, Introduction to Visual Studies (VISST 2000), which introduces students to critical thinking about visual studies as well as close textual analysis in social and historical contexts. In addition to the core course, students must take one course within the Theory/Practice group plus three additional courses at the 3000 level or above. No more than two courses from the concentration may be double-counted toward a student's major. Only one Theory/Practice course may count towards the requirements. All courses must be taken for a letter grade.

Students interested in pursuing the concentration should first discuss it with their current advisers, and contact the Visual Studies Undergraduate Coordinator:

Program Assistant:
Jessica Smith
phone: (607) 255-9861
jls499@cornell.edu

If you have not been in contact with a Visual Studies adviser, one will be selected from among the concentration's affiliated faculty.
