Jeffrey R. Zorn was was born in Cleveland, OH, in 1958; he was raised in Hemet, CA (about 80 miles southeast of Los Angeles). He received a BA in Mesopotamian archaeology from the the Near Eastern Studies department at U.C. Berkeley in 1980. In 1983 he received the MA, and in 1993 the PhD in Syro-Palestinian archaeology from Berkeley. He has over 15 seasons of experience working on "digs" in Israel, since 1985 at Tel Dor. He has written and lectured extensively on the site of Tell en-Nasbeh, 8 miles northwest of Jerusalem (see my CV for other details on my academic background). He now lives in Ithaca, NY where he is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Near Eastern Studies department.
