Electronic Submission of Spring 2007 First-Year Writing Seminar Ballots Starts: November 13, 2006, 8:00 a.m. https://fws.arts.cornell.edu/ballot/ Beginning October 23, 2006, the above site is "view only,"
and is available only to persons having a valid Cornell NetID (email address). Only students expected to matriculate in one of the seven undergraduate
colleges/schools at Cornell may submit a ballot, November 13–19. IMPORTANT DATES: •Submit an Electronic Ballot from 11/13 to midnight, 11/19 •Ballot results on "Just the Facts," January 15 •Electronic Add/Drop for FWS starts Thursday, January 18 •Writing seminars begin the week of Monday, January 22 BALLOT SUBMISSION DETAILS: Please submit your First-Year Writing Seminar ballot AFTER you have completed pre-enrollment for all other courses. Then, and only then, will you know which time slot(s) you have available for your writing seminar. To enroll in a First-Year Writing Seminar for spring 2007, go to the
above URL (between 11/13-11/19) and select five (5) choices for your ballot.
There will be pull down pick-lists sorted by Department and by Day/Time.
Submit your electronic ballot (after, of course, setting the rest of your
course schedule) starting Monday, 13 November and no later than midnight,
Sunday, 19 November 2006. • IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ENTER A BALLOT: Matriculated Students: If you are or will be a matriculated student in one of the seven undergraduate colleges/schools at Cornell, but the system does not recognize your NetID, e-mail Bruce Roebal (no later than November 15) at bar2@cornell.edu. (You may be in the University's system, but not in the locally-kept database.) Continuing Education Students: Extramural students may add a First-Year Writing Seminar starting Monday, January 22, at the Office of Continuing Education, B20 Day Hall. AOL Users: The Cornell login system, Kerberos, does not function with AOL's browser. AOL users should use a native version of Internet Explorer, NetScape, or Safari on a Macintosh.
