INFORMATION FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS SEEKING A PEER MENTOR

Working with a peer mentor in writing is likely to put you in a better position to meet, even to excel at, the expectations for college-level writing.  Intensive one-to-one sessions can help you better grasp the goals of a writing seminar and the many components that contribute to success in writing a paper.

Students who receive a peer mentor in writing agree to a regular time commitment of 2 separate hours per week with their mentor throughout the semester.

If you would like to apply, please download and fill in the application materials.

Please attach copies of one or more of your First-year Writing Seminar papers to the completed application, and send or deliver to Joe Martin, Director, Writing Walk-In Service, 174 Rockefeller Hall.

If you have any questions, send them to Joe Martin
