Courses with a 600 number or above are intended for graduate students; those with a 400 number are open to both graduates and advanced undergraduates. Most graduate students enroll in three seminars per semester in their first year of study, and two per semester once they begin teaching the following year. Students are encouraged to explore course offerings outside of music that may have relevance for their studies.
