Holland Jancaitis is conductor of the Cornell Chorale and the Cornell Chamber Singers. He holds degrees from Yale University (M.M., M.M.A., choral conducting) and Carnegie Mellon University (B.F.A., piano performance).
At Yale, he was conductor of the University (Battell) Chapel Choir and a member of the Schola Cantorum for four years. With the Schola Cantorum he performed in Hungary, England, and France. He was also principal assistant conductor of the Yale Camerata.
Prior to attending Yale, Holland was assistant music director at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh. There he sang with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, maintained a studio of private students, and was active in musical theater, directing music for productions at Carnegie Mellon, West Virginia Public Theater, and Canterbury Dinner Theater. In 2001, he directed the music for the first Malaysian production of Nunsense in Kuala Lumpur. He was born and raised in St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
