Aylin Yavas, a native of Turkey, is a Fullbright Language Teaching Assistant and instructor of elementary Turkish. She is a translator, an interpreter, and a lecturer of English in the School of Foreign Languages at Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul. She earned her B.A. from the Department of English Translation and Interpretation at Hacettepe University in June 2005. Next summer she will receive her M.Ed. from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Yildiz. 

Interpreters and translators aim to bridge cultures and languages. As an instructor, she aims to be a bridge between her students and their dreams so that they can realize all of their potential.
