Shalom Shoer, educated in both Israel and the United States, is Senior Lecturer in Hebrew. He joined the faculty of Cornell's Department of Near Eastern Studies in 1989 after having taught for several years at Binghamton University. He has been honored with the Clark Award for Distinguished Teaching.
