2008-2009

October 11th: Division for Planetary Science Annual Meeting Concert

CSO and ICSO (Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra) in concert

October 12th: Roberto Sierra's Anillos Recording Session in Bailey Hall

The CSO recorded Roberto Sierra's Anillos after performing it in concert the night before.

October 25th: CSO Into The Streets Community Outreach

The orchestra participated in Into The Streets, a university-wide community service project to help the Ithaca community. Members of the orchestra cleaned up trash on a particularly rainy Saturday afternoon.

February 21st: Orchestra Mafia Day

The Orchestra Board organized an orchestra social event, Mafia Day. The orchestra came together for an afternoon of Mafia and food in Lincoln B20.

February 23rd: Orchestra Rehearsal

Images from a typical orchestra rehearsal in B20 Lincoln hall, taken by Ciara McAfee. The orchestra was rehearsing Strauss's Death and Transfiguration.

March 1st: CSO and CCO in Concert

The CSO and CCO presented a joint concert on March 1, 2009, in Bailey Hall. The CCO performed W.A. Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Musik with Joseph Lin and Alfred Schnittke's Piano Concerto, with Xak Bjerken. The CSO performed Alberto Ginastera's Pampeana No. 2, with Adrianne Ngam, cello, winner of the 2009 Concerto Competition, and Richard Strauss's Death and Transfiguration.

2007-2008

October 31st: A Night of Fright at the Symphony

The CSO and ICSO performed a Halloween-theme concert, including Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain, Saint-Saens's Danse Macabre, and Williams's Duel of the Fates from Star Wars, with all members in costume.

December 2nd: CSO and CCO In Concert

The CSO and CCO performed together for the December 2007 Winter concert, featuring two new works and a guest performance by Absolute Zero, Cornell's breakdance troupe.
