Faculty and Graduate Students
The Sage School of Philosophy opened in 1891 with eight faculty members. There are currently eighteen professorial members of the faculty. Their interests extend widely in the field of philosophy, and they contribute to a broad range of other fields, programs, and departments at Cornell including Classics, Cognitive Studies, Ethics and Public Life, German Studies, Government, Linguistics, Medieval Studies, Religious Studies, and Science and Technology Studies.
In addition to the professorial faculty the Sage School includes two lecturers, forty active graduate students, two post-doctoral fellows, and two professors emeriti.
