| All these events are open to the entire Cornell community, and we would be delighted to see folks from other departments and programs participating in these events.
The proseminar series is held every other Thursday during the fall semester only (see dates listed below) at 4:30 p.m. in 111 Morrill Hall. The proseminar is based on a set of pre-distributed readings, with a discussion facilitated by the indicated faculty member. Its primary goal is to introduce graduate students and faculty to each other, across the entire field. Contact Cal Hile for copies of the proseminar readings.
The colloquium series is held every other Thursday on an academic year basis (see dates listed below), focused on a combination of presentations, including important issues for general discussion, and works in progress by the indicated speaker. The colloquium series also begins at 4:30 p.m. in 111 Morrill.
