Kristen Brustad is associate professor of Arabic in the Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies at Emory University. Her specialties include Arabic language pedagogy, comparative grammar of Arabic dialects, Arabic literature, and Arab culture. She is the author of The Syntax of Spoken Arabic: A comparative study of Moroccan, Egyptian, Syrian and Kuwaiti Dialects (Georgetown 2000) and co-author with Mahmoud Al-Batal and Abbas Al-Tonsi of Al-Kitaab fii Ta`allum al-`Arabiyya Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3 (Georgetown, vol. 1 (1995), 2(1997) and 3 (2003)). |
