About 50% of our graduates go directly to work (some of these enter graduate programs after a few years); about 40% go directly from Cornell to graduate or professional school; about 10% do "other" things.
Landing the first job tends to be a bit more complicated and starting salaries a bit lower for graduates of Cornell’s liberal arts and sciences than for graduates of its professional programs. But after a few years, our graduates by and large do very well indeed and often surpass their pre-professional peers in both position and income. Their transferable skills – clear and imaginative thinking, writing, and problem-solving – help them get ahead.
