Allen Fogelsanger

Allen Fogelsanger is both Coordinator and Music Director of the Dance Program. A former music director for the Central Pennsylvania Dance Workshop / Pennsylvania Dance Theater, he studied music composition with Burt Fenner, Steven Stucky, and Karel Husa; dance composition with David Gordon; and received his PhD from Cornell University in mathematics. He accompanies dance classes, composes music for dance performances, writes on the relationship between music and dance, and teaches Music and Choreography, and Music, Dance & Light. The music he composed for Cornell's Dance Concert 2005 has been selected for presentation at the 2006 national conference of the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States.
